Lauren—oh MY!

She’s a 2015 Senior at Woodcreek High School in Sacramento CA and it was my pleasure to photograph this amazingly photogenic and SWEET young woman! She and mom really worked together to bring exactly what their vision was for Lauren’s senior portraits: simply—to be HER. She loves the outdoors and is “simple but stylish”, so they really wanted to capture that.

THE STYLE BASICS:

FIRST LOOK || THE SUMMER STYLE: Lauren paired a white scoop tee with her favorite olive-tones shorts. I loved the leopard Steve Madden slip-ons. And what REALLY made this outfit more unique from all the other looks was the BRAID. Our very own Sara created a side braid to add a touch a chic style to this fun and simple outfit. I knew of the perfect setting to really pull out the olive/golden hews and off we went to create amazing images with look one.

SECOND LOOK || THE FREE PEOPLE DRESS: Always a hit with me—anything Free People. That dress was amazing on Lauren and paired with a shawl-kimono it was incredible to photograph. The colors worked well with her skin and hair. It screamed “sun through greenery” to me so off to the garden we went with that outfit. Lauren paired it with black sandals for a perfect look. And her HAIR was down for this look.

THIRD LOOK  || IT’S FOUR LOOKS IN ONE: Those True Religion jeans were the staple of the rest of Lauren’s looks. Watch how they changed with a few simple additions change: 1) They  looked fabulous paried with a lacey tank and for this look Sara added a bit of a smokey eye. Booties always dress jeans up and I loved the look with the rolled jeans. We shot a few in an upscale urban mall area and then off to the field for more looks and a change. 2) Lauren added a plaid/sequin shirt both tied around her waist and over the tank for a completely different vibe. 3) Add a sparkly head-band and know it’s boho in an instant 4) add a crop top tee and a VERY chic floppy hat for a 4th look—and she never changed those jeans! Voila.

Watch for MORE of Lauren—we will be submitting her images into the Senior’s Ignite Model competition and call me prejudice, but I think she’s got a huge change ;)
