SPECIAL FEATURE: BOHO-CHIC Themed Photo Shoot

This was an amazingly fun and inspirational shoot that we did recently with 3 of our 2014 Spokesmodels, styled and planned around a duo “jewel-tone” and  “boho-chic” fashion theme. If you missed the first series of photos from the JEWEL TONE theme, you can see those posted here. For the “Boho-Chic theme, the main look I was going for was the look of “boho-hair” (messy pony-tails, braids, side pony-tails) with hair accessories including feathers, braid-in weaves and headbands. Also, layered and varied bangles is a huge part of the this look. The 3 models were sent a visual of the looks we were going for and also a password to one of my secret  pinterest boards that was specifically created to inspire and direct the models as to outfits to bring to the shoot.

The girls were excited and were perfect in the choices they made within the fashion guidelines I gave them. They were instructed to come to the shoot with their hair already styled in their favorite style for the first shoot (the “Jewel Tone” theme) and from there I had styles planned for Sara to create for the 2nd theme (Boho). Sara did and AMAZING job creating the looks I asked her to create—down to a tee!

I took a fun “before” shot of each of the girls—and this will show you how naturally gorgeous they all are. I could have photographed each of them exactly as they walked in the door and created images of beauty based on their natural looks! But we were here for a purpose and they were all excited to get their makeup done by Sara.

When our senior clients come in for a Style Session, we want them to style their own hair for the first few outfits because it’s important that they LOVE their hair in their images—from there, we do fun hair styles after the first few outfits so this shoot was created to authentically represent what we do in an every-day senior Style Session (which includes makeup and styling—we offer other sessions with make up optional).

I loved the transformation of each girl from the Jewel Tone theme to the Boho theme—they all looked so uniquely different! The hairstyles in the Boho shoot really was the success of the look and again, credit to Sara for pulling that off based on visual pictures I gave her ahead of time!
