If you’ve ever wondered what it takes to be named Valedictorian of your class, it could be summed up in a few words: “hard work and dedication”. These are words Evan Lovell knows well—he is the class Valedictorian for his senior class of 2016 for Elk Grove High School.
Evan is on Team 16 for Teri Fode Seniors and we loved photographing his big smile! Below are some images from his senior session.
We asked Evan a few questions about his senior year—here are his answer
What are your college/future plans are? (as of this interview:) Right now I am deciding between UCLA and UC Berkeley. I am majoring in Political Science with aspirations of law school someday.
What did your GPA end up being? 4.61 cumulative (5.0 senior year)
How many AP classes did you take senior year? 7
What extra interests do you have? I played HS and club soccer and was a lead attorney for our school’s mock trial team that won the county competition four years in a row. I also won Top Defense Attorney in Northern California at a tournament in September.
Are you excited for graduation? Yes, very. Although I’ve been working so hard this year, I think I’m mostly looking forward to the break that graduation represents.
What, if any, advice do you have for incoming Freshman students for their high school years? I would advise to work as hard as you can and to find something to get involved with. For me, that was soccer and mock trial but HS has so many clubs, sports and activities to offer, every student can get involved in some way. And don’t forget to have fun along the way.
Anything else I would like to add? Thank you for taking my senior photos. The photo shoot was a blast!
