America’s birthday never looked so beautiful as when this group of Teri Fode Seniors models came together in red white and blue for an Americana-themed photo shoot! We created a fun indoor set until the sun was low in the sky because it was a very hot day—but these girls are BRAVE and we ventured out into a country field to shoot the last part of the session while it was still hot outside.

I was thrilled to know that Sydney’s mom had found and ordered a vintage flag-scarf online and it was the STAR prop of the day! A huge thank you to Sydney and mom Stephanie! The sun through the scarf was amazing. FYI—proper flag etiquette is to never let the flag (or any replica of a flag) touch the ground and to treat it with respect. These girls wore and flew this scarf  “flag” with American pride and we were careful to never let it touch the ground during our shoot.

I absolutely love how each girl brought her own style to the photo shoot, using the mood-board we sent for “Vintage Americana”. When sending the mood-boards, we send general style, theme, colors but allow each girl to work within her own fashion choices and style to bring individuality to each shoot. We add a few fun props and use theirs that they bring; this collaboration was awesome!
