PAIGE 2012 | sacramento senior pictures
I”m excited to share this session..it was a DREAM session. Why? Because it involved several elements that, when possible and available, combined to create the best of all worlds into one single photo shoot: beautiful girl (Paige)+her own home/property (unique/can’t be duplicated)+vintage prop (dad’s chevy Bel Air)+defining prop(her horse)+colorful/stylish clothing pieces.
Paige and her mom were as excited about her session as I was—and they were patient through the several rain re-schedules. It turned out to be a fabulous day with lots of puffy white clouds and blue sky. That type of cloud cover is tricky for lighting on-location because of the ever-changing light situation (sun behind the clouds, sun peeking out, sun gone again) BUT it also creates the most AMAZING light and I love the variance that it allows for. You’ll see what I mean about this FABULOUS light in the horse images below (yes, my fellow photographers, all natural with a small reflector behind me to the right—only used when working with horses that are not flighty).
Paige has beautiful eyes which I wanted to be the focal point—always—as well as a beautiful smile (and heart!) which shone through. Her clothing choices were perfect—pop of color, stylish but also classic to stand the test of time. She was super fun to work with—allowing me to just do my thing with a few requests of her own as well.
Below are just a few of my favorites—and it was hard to narrow down—but alas, meet PAIGE—-class of 2012 and soon to graduate high school in a few short weeks:
And…THIS mother/daughter photo makes me want to hire a photographer to capture this of me and my daughter…and me and my son. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this image of Paige and her mom. This is something they will both look back on with wonderful memories:
