Oh. My. Courtney was amazing to photograph and I loved her style.

When we went through all of her clothing selections I immediately knew where we would photograph the high-low dress to create a vintage forest feel. I had some floral pieces in the studio and she was open to wearing a hair accessory so I created a vintage look for her dress using various florals and off we went. The lighting was perfect and I couldn’t have been more creatively-excited to process these images.

Courtney is the youngest of two and we photographed her older sister just a few short years ago…today was her day to shine.

Here are a few from her senior pictures that were our faves:

Oh KAYLA! You SHINE!

Yes, Kayla is another fashionista that was absolutely AMAZING to photograph. She has a natural “print ad” look that is effortless to capture and on top of that she has a sense of style that just won’t quit. I LOVED her clothing choices and accessories. She chose outfits that were fun and playful as well as elegant and stylish.

Kayla chose our “Style Session” which includes a 30 minute pre-session with our makeup artist Sara. She came with her hair styled by her own hair-stylist and Sara did makeup to compliment her skin tones and personal taste. One of the things that girls love about our Style Session is the unlimited looks they are allowed together with an extra makeup application that allows them to go with a more dramatic look if desired.

Here are some of my personal favorites from Kayla’s senior portraits, shot in a nearby urban-country setting complete with a country field.

Oh REILLY!

Everything was planned…right down to the exact colors of the balloons and flowers to match/coordinate with her outfits! Reilly is a style fashionista and an accessory-queen!  We styled her shoot down to the last detail based on images she loved, colors and textures she chose and the amazing extras she wanted. I knew at the style-consult with Reilly and her mom that this was going to be full of bright color and awesome textures.

Reilly chose the “Style Session” which includes a makeup application at the studio with an added location for the setting. I love it when girls choose this session because the makeup is always extra special—applied by Sara specifically for camera work to focus on the eyes with a pre-consult to determine how she prefers her makeup. We then glam it up a bit and offer a smokey eye after several outfits if she wants that look. Most do—some don’t. Either way, a “freshen-up” application is always applied and off we go to finish the shoot. We also offer a fun style-do for the hair with this session.

TIP: When doing your own makeup for your senior pictures, always apply it darker than normal—don’t hesitate applying extra mascara and lip sheen because makeup always fades in-camera. Also, make sure to blend base makeup into the neck so your neck color isn’t lighter than your face! Very important—because it will show in your images.

Here are some of our favorites images from Reilly’s senior photo shoot:

She loves pink. And sparkles. And shoes and scarves and lipgloss.

Meet Samantha.

I’ve known her since she was a little girl…and now she’s all grown up. Ready to enter the big wide world. Go to college. And live her dreams.

She has eyes that are piercing and a gaze that could appear on any given magazine cover. For her photo shoot for her senior pictures, she brought an aray of colors and textures including a fun pink scarf that blew in the wind. We shot her in various areas in the setting of a quaint little village-type-town and the sun was glorious…with a nip in the air.

Here are a few of our favorites from both her official senior photo session and her model shoot with us last summer. FYI: Watch for our upcoming announcement and invitation to apply for our 2014 Senior Model campaign soon!
