Baby Ryleigh | Sacramento Baby Photography

She’s heeeeeeere! Baby Ryleigh arrived right on time—or should I say—ahead of time! Proud mama and papa were very happy and they seemed surprisingly rested and full of energy the day I arrived. Ryleigh was not too sleepy…day 4 in the world and she was quite wide akake but we managed to get a few with her “sleepy heavy lids” towards the end of the session.

I’m excited to see her grow—we will be photographing her next two big milestones in life soon: sitting around 6 months and walking around one year! Watch for this adorable little one to sprout here wings soon…

FORD MODEL: Adorable Serra

We love working with our Ford Model referrals: they are adorable and oh-so-fun! Little Miss Serra is already an experienced model at age 5: she is currently the Downy Girl (seen on the Downy Bottles accross the nation) and was the cover of the Family Fun Magazine in December/January 2010! When I met her, I could see why: she is so stinkin’ cute and photogenic!

Tori was with me on this session and did a fabulous job with reflective lighting…our little client was perfectly willing to go anywhere we wanted including a few alley-ways, stairwells and nearby city-monuments! Mom was great—she stood off to the side just letting us work with Serra without parental direction. This is SO important when working with children because as we parents all know, our kids usually show their best behavior when mom and dad are not around, LOL!

Here are some of my favorites from Serra’s session. I’m sure she will be seen in major print ads soon—Downy and Family Fun Mag are just the beginning for this cute girl!

Little People…Big Hearts.

Meet Mar and Kelani—two adorable kids that are as comfortable in front of a camera as they are in a playground. This session was actually for mom—we created images for her business portfolio and she brought the kids along to include in a few photos with her. But while mommy was getting her makeup done, Mar and Kelani and Teri went out in the back alley for a “play date”…no posing…just hanging out while mommy was busy getting ready for pictures.

This session was SO much fun…the kids were completely at home in my favorite “studio” and we laughed, walked, played, talked. Oh, and just for kicks we took a few photos. Lighting was tricky because I didn’t have a reflector with me…so it was all about finding the right light and capturing a few moments of personality.

So here are those few moments…

BABY JACK & MOMMY & DADDY

MEET JACK…oh, and mommy and daddy! He’s adorable and he’s now walking! I photographed this family on a brisk fall day…and the fall leaves on the front lawn combined with the brisk cool air was perfect for the adorable little hat and coat mom chose for Jack! In fact, she did FABULOUS with their entire wardrobe choice for this session.

Jack has a sweet smile and loved the leaves…and now that he’s walking he wasn’t too thrilled to stay in one place too long so we captured him just being himself—fast and curious! :)

FORD BABY MODEL | sacramento modeling portfolios

Can you say “ahhhhhh”! Is he just the most adorable thing EVER?

Baby Ryan is a recent new addition to Ford Models…they took one look at him and observed his fun, carefree, happy personality and signed him up as one of their new babies! So up to Sacramento mom and Ryan came to create his first ever “modeling portfolio”!

He giggled, played, laughed and explored with a smile the entire session! Here he is…meet BABY RYAN:

FORD MODEL | sacramento modeling portfolios

MEET APRIL, a Ford Model who is an adorable and versatile young girl! She’s already been featured in Gap ads and we expect her to be working fairly regularly because she has a look and smile that screams “print ad”!

It amazed us how she could be so “on” in front of the camera in such a natural way…I would say “okay, April, if your friend just said the funniest joke ever how would you laugh?” and she would actually LAUGH with the most natural “laugh and smile” you could imagine!

She and her mom drove up from the bay area to create her latest portfolio and we enjoyed them both. Here is a sneak peek for April and mom and dad and family and friends:
